A Shared Moment

Oil on canvas · 80 × 100 cm (framed: 83 × 103 cm) · 2026

We all joke that love means nothing to tennis players. But beyond the score, the game is full of love in all its forms - affection, rivalry, friendship, and connection.

This painting captures a moment when the competition pauses and two players meet across the net in an embrace. I was drawn to the contrast between the strong geometry of the court, which separates the players, and the warmth of their gesture, which connects them.

For me, tennis is not only about the game. It is also about the people we meet, the memories we create, and the sense of belonging that grows around the court.
