Information I collect
I may collect personal information that you provide when you contact me, request a commission, create a customer account or make a purchase. This may include:
your name;
email address;
telephone number, if provided;
billing and delivery addresses;
order, delivery and collection information;
payment status and transaction references;
customer-account information;
information contained in an enquiry or commission request;
photographs, location details or other reference materials you choose to provide; and
your marketing preferences.
I do not receive or store your complete payment-card details.
The website may also collect information about how visitors use it through Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics 4, subject to applicable cookie choices. This may include pages visited, interactions, approximate location, device and browser information, and referring sources.
How I use your information
I use personal information to:
respond to enquiries;
discuss and prepare commission proposals;
process payments and administer purchases;
arrange packing, delivery, collection, returns and refunds;
create and fulfil commissioned artwork;
provide Certificates of Authenticity and maintain artwork records;
communicate with clients about existing or potential work;
provide customer support and handle complaints;
operate, secure and improve the website;
understand how visitors find and use the website;
maintain appropriate business, tax and accounting records;
prevent fraud; and
comply with legal obligations.
I do not sell your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, I process personal information because:

it is necessary to perform a contract with you;
I have a legal obligation to retain or disclose certain information;
I have legitimate interests in responding to enquiries, operating the art practice, supporting customers, maintaining records, securing the website and improving its performance; or

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.
Contact and commission enquiries
When you submit a form through this website, the information you provide is processed through Squarespace and may also be sent to me by email.
I use this information to respond to your enquiry and manage any resulting commission or customer relationship.
If you provide photographs or other reference material for a commission, I use it to discuss, plan and create the work. Please avoid providing personal information about another person unless you have an appropriate reason and permission to do so.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing communications.
Orders and payments
When you place an order, the website collects the information needed to process the purchase and arrange delivery or collection.
Payments are processed through Squarespace Payments and its payment-service providers. They receive the payment, identity and security information required to authorise the transaction, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations.
I receive information such as the payment status, transaction reference and limited payment-method details, but not your complete card number or security code.
Customer accounts
You may choose to create a customer account to manage orders and save relevant checkout information. Creating an account is optional, and you may check out as a guest.
Squarespace provides and secures the customer-account functionality.
Delivery and collection
Where delivery is requested, I may share the recipient’s name, address, telephone number, email address and relevant instructions with Royal Mail, a courier, a delivery-comparison provider or a specialist art-transport provider.
Only information reasonably required to arrange and manage the delivery will be shared.
If you choose free collection, I use your contact details to arrange a suitable collection time and provide the location privately.
Marketing
If you choose to receive news and updates, I may use your name and email address to send relevant marketing communications.
Marketing consent is separate from the transactional messages required to administer an enquiry, order, delivery or customer account.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in a marketing email or by contacting maria@raskina.co.uk.
Website analytics
I use Squarespace Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the website.
Analytics information may include website visits, page views, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and referring sources.
For ecommerce measurement, Squarespace may send Google Analytics information about completed orders, including an order identifier, store name, purchase total including delivery, and the customer’s city, region and country.
Non-essential analytics cookies and related technologies are used in accordance with the choices made through the website’s cookie controls.
Google Analytics event-level data is currently configured with a retention period of 14 months.
Who receives your information
Personal information may be processed by service providers used to operate the website and business, including:
Squarespace, for website hosting, forms, commerce, customer accounts, order management and analytics;
Squarespace Payments and its payment-service providers;
Google, where Google Analytics is used;
email providers used to receive and respond to messages;
postal, courier and specialist art-delivery providers;
accountants, insurers, legal advisers and other professional advisers where necessary; and
public authorities where disclosure is required by law.
These organisations process information for their own purposes or on my behalf, depending on the service involved.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom.
Where this occurs, the relevant provider is responsible for using applicable safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy arrangement or approved contractual protections, where required.
How long I keep information
I keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, accounting, tax and dispute-resolution requirements.
As a general guideline:
enquiries that do not result in a commission or purchase may be retained for up to 24 months after the last communication;
order, payment and accounting records may normally be retained for up to six years;
commission and artwork-provenance records may be retained for longer where reasonably necessary to document the history and authenticity of an artwork;
marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe or it is no longer reasonably required; and
Google Analytics event-level data is currently retained for 14 months.
Information may be deleted earlier where it is no longer needed or retained for longer where a legal claim or obligation requires it.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect personal information and use established providers for website hosting and payment processing.
No online system is completely secure. Please do not send complete payment-card details or unnecessarily sensitive information by ordinary email.
Your rights
Under UK data-protection law, depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
request access to your personal information;
ask for inaccurate information to be corrected;
ask for information to be deleted;
request restriction of processing;
object to certain uses of your information;
request transfer of information in certain circumstances; and
withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
