There is a quiet moment before every serve - a moment of concentration, nerves and preparation. The player takes a breath and signals to her opponent that she is ready - a small act of courtesy before the point begins. Tennis is an elegance, isn’t it?

I wanted to capture this brief pause, when tension is still held in the body and everything is about to be released into movement.
