COMMISSIONS
Your court. Your story.
A tennis place can hold years of memories. I create original oil paintings and watercolours that interpret the courts, clubs and moments that matter to you.
Choose the way you would like your story painted
COMMISSION OPTIONS
Every commission is an original artwork created especially for you. Watercolour offers an intimate and accessible starting point, while oil allows for greater scale, depth and presence.
Watercolour
From £300
A light, expressive original painting on paper. Watercolour is particularly suited to intimate views, personal gifts and smaller spaces.
Includes an initial consultation, composition planning, the signed original artwork and a Certificate of Authenticity. Framing is quoted separately.
Oil painting
From £450
An original painting with greater depth, texture and presence. Oil commissions can range from smaller personal works to substantial paintings of a favourite court or club.
Includes an initial consultation, composition planning, the signed original artwork and a Certificate of Authenticity. Framing is quoted separately.

PRICE GUIDE
Oil commissions are available in three indicative formats. The final quotation will reflect the chosen dimensions, complexity, location and any special requirements, but the price will always be agreed before work begins.
Intimate
Approximately 40 × 50 cm
From £450
A more intimate original, suited to a focused composition, personal gift or smaller space.
Classic
Approximately 50 × 70 cm
Typically £650–£700
A versatile format with enough scale for a developed view of a favourite court, club or tennis memory.
Statement
Approximately 80 × 100 cm
Typically £1,100–£1,250
A substantial statement painting suited to a larger space, significant occasion or detailed club setting.
Watercolour commissions start from £300. Framing is normally quoted separately. Where a location visit or photoshoot would add to the commission, I will discuss any travel arrangements or additional costs with you in advance.
From first conversation to finished painting
THE PROCESS
Every commission begins with the place and the story behind it. I then develop the composition and create an original painting that is personal to you while remaining true to my own artistic style.
01 — CONVERSATION
Tell me about the court, club, occasion or tennis memory you would like captured. Together, we will discuss the story, preferred medium, approximate size, timing and budget.
02 — THE PLACE
Where appropriate, I visit the location to observe and photograph it myself. Alternatively, a commission can begin with suitable photographs supplied by you.
03 — COMPOSITION
I select and develop the view that will become the painting. We will confirm the medium, approximate dimensions, composition, price and expected timing before I begin painting.
04 — CREATION
I create your original painting in my studio. I may share selected work-in-progress moments with you, while retaining the artistic freedom needed to create the finished work.
05 — PRESENTATION
I sign and carefully present the finished work with its Certificate of Authenticity, artist and care information, and any selected photographs included with the commission.
More than a painting
YOUR COMMISSION
Each commission is created and presented as an original work of art, with the details needed to record its authenticity and care for it over time.
THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK
A unique oil painting or watercolour created especially for you in the agreed medium and approximate dimensions, signed by me.
SELECTED PHOTOGRAPHS
Where I photograph the location as part of the commission, you will also receive a curated selection of edited high-resolution digital photographs.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY
A signed certificate recording the artwork’s title, year, medium, dimensions and individual catalogue number.
PRESENTATION AND CARE
I carefully present the finished work with artist and care information. We will confirm delivery arrangements according to its size, medium and destination.
FRAMING
Professional framing can be arranged where appropriate and is normally quoted separately. I can help you choose a presentation suited to both the artwork and its intended space.
A few practical details
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
You do not need to have every detail decided before getting in touch. These answers provide a useful starting point, and I will guide you through the remaining choices.
-
No. You can begin with the place, story, occasion and an approximate budget. I can then suggest a suitable medium and format, from an intimate watercolour to a larger oil painting.
-
Yes. A commission can begin with suitable photographs supplied by you. I may ask for several views or additional details so that I can develop a strong composition rather than simply reproduce a single photograph.
-
Where appropriate, I can visit the court, club or other location to observe and photograph it myself. Whether a location photoshoot is included depends on the commission and its location. I will discuss any travel arrangements or additional costs with you in advance.
-
After we discuss the medium, dimensions, composition, location and complexity, I will provide a clear quotation. We will agree the scope, price and expected timing before I begin painting.
-
The timescale depends on the medium, size, complexity and my current schedule. If the painting is intended for a birthday, anniversary or another occasion, please mention the date in your enquiry. I will confirm whether the required timing is possible before we agree the commission.
-
I will discuss the intended view and composition with you before painting begins. The finished artwork will remain my artistic interpretation, so the process is not based on repeated revisions or exact photographic reproduction.
-
Framing is normally quoted separately. Where framing is required, I can help you choose an appropriate presentation for the medium, dimensions and intended space.
-
I will review the information and contact you to arrange an initial conversation. There is no obligation to proceed. If the project feels suitable, I will confirm the details, quotation, timing and next steps in writing.
-
You will own the finished physical artwork once the commission is completed and paid for. I retain copyright and reproduction rights unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You do not need to know the exact medium or dimensions yet. Begin by sharing the place, memory or occasion behind the painting, and I will help you explore the most suitable options.
Submitting an enquiry does not commit you to placing an order. I will contact you to discuss the idea, price and timing before we agree any work.
